Rick Donlon

Rick Donlon grew up in New Orleans and graduated from Texas Christian University in 1986. He completed medical school at LSU-N.O., and a combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. In 1995 he and three medical school classmates opened Christ Community Health Services, a primary-care health center for the poor in Memphis’ most medically under-served neighborhood. CCHS grew to include seven health centers, four dental clinics, and a family medicine residency program. Since 2003, CCHS has sent long-term medical missionaries to unreached people groups in Central and South Asia and North Africa. Rick and his co-founding partner, Dr. David Pepperman, left CCHS in mid 2014 and founded Resurrection Health, a Memphis health ministry committed to glorifying God and expanding the Kingdom of Jesus through living, working, and planting churches among the poor-- in the US and among unreached people groups around the world. He and his wife Laurie and their seven children live in the Binghampton neighborhood of Memphis, where he works and serves as an elder in their house church network.
